Thai police detained a suspected leader of a Nigerian drug cartel in Bangkok

Yesterday evening, June 9, Thai police arrested the alleged leader of a Nigerian drug gang in a luxury residential complex in Bangkok. The suspect, known only as Patrick, 36, was detained in the Bang Phong Phang area, Yan Nawa district. During an operation codenamed "Clipping the Wings," police seized a significant amount of cocaine and assets worth approximately 700,000 baht. Police reported that the detainee was a key figure in drug trafficking organized by Nigerian criminal groups in Thailand.
