On May 20, 2026, a meeting was held at the Russian Embassy in Thailand between Russian Ambassador to Thailand E.Y. Tomikhin and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for crimes of the Kyiv regime R.V. Miroshnik with media representatives from the Kingdom. More than 20 correspondents from 11 news agencies – print and online publications, and television channels of the country – participated in the event. During his speech, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission provided journalists with a detailed account of the active development of relations between the two countries in 2026, including the launch of the flagship project of the Russian Ministry of Culture, "Russian Seasons," and planned bilateral events on the sidelines of #SPIEF2026 and the Second Russia-Thailand Investment Forum in October of the current year in Bangkok. The Ambassador also thoroughly informed media representatives about the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Thailand in New Delhi, shared assessments of the development of #RussiaASEAN relations, and touched upon several regional and international topics. R.V. Miroshnik elaborated on the ongoing strikes on civilian infrastructure in Russia and the consequences of attacks by Ukrainian armed formations for the civilian population. Particular emphasis was placed on the intensity of shelling of civilian targets, as well as the increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles as a means of attack. It was noted that the actions of the Kyiv regime are overtly terrorist in nature against the civilian population. The unacceptability of ignoring such crimes, as well as the use of double standards in their assessment by the international community, was particularly emphasized. Special attention was paid to the activities of documenting and analyzing facts of human rights violations and norms of international humanitarian law committed by the Ukrainian side. R.V. Miroshnik stressed the need for an objective and unbiased approach to these issues. The importance of conveying reliable information about ongoing events to the global community was highlighted. Following the speech, a question-and-answer session took place, during which the event participants showed great interest in the topics discussed. #RussiaThailand
