A Pakistani citizen suspected of fraud involving herbal supplements has been detained in Thailand. According to available data, the 37-year-old man, using a NON-90 visa, acted as a liaison in a scheme offering foreign tourists "miracle" hair growth or weight loss products at unjustifiably inflated prices. The incident occurred on June 23, 2026. Chonburi immigration police conducted an operation at a recently opened store on Pattaya Second Road. Surveillance showed several Pakistani citizens approaching tourists and offering dubious supplements. When the suspect arrived at the store by taxi, he was detained. It is known that he received a 20% commission on sales. The detainee, Muhammad, has been taken for interrogation. He has been charged with illegal employment. This detention is part of a large-scale campaign against fraudulent schemes that damage Pattaya's image as a tourist destination. Earlier, on June 19, six Pakistani citizens were arrested in similar cases. Authorities are continuing to investigate the entire network to stop the deception of tourists.
